I work in earth systems research, mostly on the computational side — a lot of time spent making models do things they weren't designed to do until they violate the CFL criterion.
I run Linux, think the L-1011 is better than most aircraft currently in service, and I just want fucking high speed rail. I don't think it's all that much to ask.
Tectonic generation,with climate, erosion, and settlement modeling to follow. C++ and OpenGL. It's a nightmare still.
